These shots are from a year ago so I don't remember. If I find that one I'll post it for comparison sake. I still think this version works though, but I can see your point. Photographically speaking, though, you know what I would have done (I think)? I'd have positioned the lens just as you did, but set a manula focus so that perhaps it was the 1st or 2nd lock which was in sharpest focus, not that one closer to center.
