Lower East Side laundry
This image has a strange effect on me. Maybe the faces in the architecture creep me out a bit; I admit it.
It’s like a clash of what once must have been a beautiful building with what we’ve done to it. Garbage against grandeur.
I’ve never seen this building. The colors and strange architecture looks gorgeous and there’s a strong contrast with the garbage and laundry here.
I’m reminded of the dynamiting of the Buddhas of Bamya by the Taliban.
Another beauty. So much detail. The old door that was once grand. The mixture of art and trash. Just wonderful.
